The Snaidero Idea
The project / Preliminary analysis
First of all, a feasibility study was performed on the project by ISVI, Institute of Business Values, co-ordinated by prof. Mario Molteni, professor of Business Administration at Università Cattolica in Milan, and prof. Vladimiro Kosic, president of the Regional Committee of Disabled Peoples' Associations in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The study examined all the information relative to the market outlook, technical and organisational aspects, etc., required before the production phase could begin.
The study showed that there was a great demand for a kitchen designed for the disabled, due to the high number of disabled people in Europe, amounting to 10% of the population.

This type of product proved to be almost totally absent on the market.
Up until now, potential users were generally obliged to use kitchens that were adapted to fit their needs by means of expensive mechanisms which not only require extensive maintenance, but also have aesthetic features that single them out as “solutions for the disabled.
There were no accessible designer kitchens incorporating “standard” elements neither was it possible for disabled people to get a first-hand idea of the performance and appearance of customised layouts at a sales outlet.
