The Snaidero Idea

Social commitment

“ Our speciality is to exclusively manufacture kitchens, giving all respect to the environment by using the best materials available. Our mission is to conceive timeless kitchens design to improve the quality of your life ”.

This statement by Edi Snaidero, President and CEO of Snaidero , summarises what have been the Snaidero's primary objectives since its beginnings.

Snaidero's social commitment and responsibility are a well-respected company tradition and translate into a constant drive towards providing exhaustive responses to the requirements of all its stakeholders, both internal and external (customers, collaborators, shareholders, local communities, etc.).

Snaidero has always aimed to fully satisfy its customers and to establish a serene working atmosphere and informal and co-operative working relationships within the company.

Snaidero is famous throughout the world for the meticulous attention it gives to all its kitchens which it manufactures according to the strictest production safety standards.

It was also the first Italian kitchen manufacturer to obtain ISO 9001:94 and, in 2001, ISO 9001:2000. quality certification.Lastly, in 2003, the company certified its environmental management system, which allows it to control the impact of its factory on the surrounding environment, to ISO 14001.

At a local level, Snaidero helps introduce disabled people to the working world.
For this purpose, it has contributed to setting up a co-operative called “La Ragnatela”, comprising families of disabled children in the "Comunità Collinare" area of Friuli Venezia Giulia (north-east of Italy), which sets out to integrate and develop the independence of disabled people by employing them in a protected work environment.
This co-operative assembles and packages products for companies using high-tech equipment and machinery.
La Ragnatela is now one of Snaidero's suppliers of raw materials.

In addition, the company has been constantly sponsoring sports activities since 1999 and has developed the “Snaidero Project”to support regional minibasket-ball programs, in the belief it contributes to the well-being of the local community.
The project introduces basketball to small children (aged from 7 to 13) with the social objective of allowing them, even in the least organised centres of the area, to play a healthy sport under the supervision of specialist trainers. Snaidero's commitment involves providing logistic support and technical collaboration to 20 federated clubs and promoting basketball free of charge at regional primary schools.

Lastly, to honor the wishes of its founder, Rino Snaidero, the company has set up an association called Alars (Association of Elderly R.Snaidero Spa Employees) which currently has 260 members and, among other things, sets out to encourage and foster brotherhood-like solidarity, friendship and mutual assistance, among its members, report problems of assistance and social security, and promote the conditions required to assure tranquillity and serenity for the elderly, especially those in special need.

Continuing along the road of social responsibility and customer focus, the idea of developing a kitchen designed to enhance the self-reliance and independence of disabled people was hatched in 2002:: the outcome was Skyline_lab.
